The Core Four Plus the Strategy Foundation
-
The Strategy Foundation Course
-
Civil Procedure
-
Contracts
-
Property
-
Torts
Why these subjects?
We began where the material is consistent enough that our approach delivers for everyone.
-
Contracts, Torts, Property, and Civil Procedure are taught from largely the same cases and the black-letter rules no matter where you go, so a system built around them works for virtually every 1L.
-
Unlike more policy or theory courses, these four are graded on how well you apply the rules to the facts, which is the precise skill Berytus trains.
-
Constitutional Law and Criminal Law, by contrast, vary widely from professor to professor in terms of content and testing format, which makes a one-size-fits-all resource far less reliable.
What the courses are not.
The Substantive Courses are solely for the purpose of training students on how to succeed in law school.
-
Berytus is not a bar review course and is not designed, sequenced, or tested against the MBE, MEE, MPT, UBE, MPRE, or any state bar examination.
-
Berytus is not a practice exam generator, it is a system to enable your performance on exams.
-
Nothing in any Berytus product is legal advice. The rule statements, frameworks, and all materials are academic teaching materials — they are written for the closed universe of a law school exam alone.
-
Berytus is a study system for law students who want to perform better on law school examinations.
